Writing about faith & family as I walk out the joys & sorrows of everyday life.
Hi! My name is Kathleen. I’ve been called Kathleen — not Kathy — since the day of my birth. I’ve been writing with pen and ink before I knew how to read. But, the best way I know to introduce you to myself is to invite you into my home, our home. So come on in, let me show you around.
As you enter, you’ll see a large, worn dining room table, books stuffed onto wooden shelves, and a wall full of picture frames. Twinkle lights encircle the room. The table usually holds 6 chairs, but sometimes it holds 12 or more. Those days — filled with friends and family — eating and laughing around our table are some of my favorite memories. Hence, you’ll see that a motto for our home is: “Sit long. Talk much. Laugh often.”
The wall of pictures captures family history, lots of days before kids, and just a few pictures of kids. (Life got a lot busier when those small people entered our lives.) Those pictures, though, represent much of the joy in my life: treasured moments with family and friends.
Then, as you look to the right, there is the wall of Books, Books, and More Books. I love stories. I love books.
The melodies of guitars, ukuleles, and pianos float about our home. They accompany the sunshine that often fills the room through the large windows.
Stories of family, relationships, ideas, faith, sunsets and storms are a few of the things that I write about here.
May the writing that is here encourage you to walk a faith-filled journey.
Thanks for stopping by. I’m glad you’re here. I hope you’ll leave a comment or two because sharing stories is even better than just listening.
